Well, why "Axe and his 'x'"? Here's why.
My parents, Anup and Ashu, wanted their son to have a 4-letter first name starting with A, just like them. There were choices actually. Ajay was one of them I guess. But, of course, too common. Then Dad got this great idea (Kudos to you, Dad). If Laxmi can be named with an 'x' and so can be Dixit, why can't Akshay be renamed as Axay. So, that's how Axay got his name.
Throughout my life, people have asked me why I have this unique spelling, when it's supposed to be spelt as Akshay. I have always told them the same story that I just told you. Of course, people usually don't end up pronouncing it as Akshay, it's usually an Uck-suy or an Axe-aye. the only good thing about my name is that I always catch the attention of the person who finds out the spelling and that I get a unique username and password everywhere I sign up.
Anyway, so this spelling has been the most unique part of me and I think shall remain so forever. So, I thought that since this is the most important part of my life, something that's always set me apart, made me unique, why not pay tribute to it in a way and acknowledge it's significance. That's how this blog got it's name.
Of course, the "Axe" was chosen over the "Axay" because that's the name people refer to me by :-)
